Job summary

Ccannj is searching for a Per Diem Substance Abuse Counselor for their Mount Carmel Guild Substance Use program in Cranford, NJ. The ideal candidate will provide substance use counseling to clients, documenting progress in electronic health records and completing treatment plans. They will work under the supervision of an LCADC and require a valid LCADC or CADC license.

This role is critical in supporting clients in their recovery journey through evidence-based practices and regular assessments.

Qualifications

• Valid LCADC or CADC license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide substance use counseling to clients in the substance use program level 1 and level 2.1.
• Document progress notes on all groups in electronic health record.
• Implement evidence‑based modalities to assist clients in their recovery.
• Complete treatment plans and other documentation according to agency standards.
• Admit clients using NJSAMS.
• Collect weekly UDS.
• All work is under the supervision of an LCADC.
