Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Brigham and Women’s Physicians Organization, Inc. seeks a Per Diem Stress Test Technician to assist in administering stress tests under physician direction. You will prepare patients, apply monitoring devices, and document outcomes with accuracy.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for stress tests; explain procedures and address questions.
• Apply electrodes and monitoring devices to measure vital signs.
• Administer stress tests (exercise or pharmacological) to assess cardiovascular health.
• Monitor patients during tests and respond to issues or complications.
• Document results and communicate with supervising physician.
• Maintain equipment and ensure proper functioning.
• Assist in scheduling stress tests and other cardiology procedures.
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement programs.

Job Summary

Responsible for administering stress tests to patients to assess their cardiovascular health under the direction of a physician.

Essential Functions

• Prepare patients for stress tests by explaining the procedure and answering any questions they may have.
• Apply electrodes and other monitoring devices to patients to measure their heart rate, blood pressure, and other vital signs during the test.
• Administer stress tests, exercise stress tests or pharmacological stress tests, to evaluate the patient’s cardiovascular health.
• Monitor patients during the stress test and responding to any issues or complications that arise.
• Document results of the stress test and communicating them to the supervising physician.
• Maintain equipment and ensuring that it is functioning properly.
• Assist in the scheduling of stress tests and other cardiology procedures.
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement programs.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Licenses and Credentials

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support [ACLS (AHA)] - American Heart Association (AHA) preferred
• Basic Life Support [BLS Certification]preferred
• Certified Cardiographic Technician [CCT] - Cardiovascular Credentialing International preferred

Experience

• Experience in or specialized training in stress testing and cardiovascular health stress testing and cardiovascular health 1-2 years required
