Same Day Surgery Center of Central Jersey, part of United Surgical Partners International, Inc, is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician per diem. The role focuses on maintaining surgical instrumentation and preparing sets for procedures at the Central Jersey center.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a Sterile Process Certification Program, and 1-2 years of sterile processing experience. Sterrad experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Sterile Process Certification Program required.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred.
• 1-2 years of Sterile Processing experience.
• Experience with all types of sterilizers.
• Knows operating room instrumentation.
• Understands operation of steam/gravity sterilizer.
• Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
• Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required.

Responsibilities

• The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation.
• Sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.
• Ensures proper sterilization of instruments and equipment.
