Job summary

Rochester Regional Health in Gouverneur, NY seeks a Sterile Processing Tech to decontaminate, prepare and distribute sterile instrumentation for the OR and other hospital areas. The role follows guidance of Central Supply Supervisor and supports patient safety.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, CBSPD or CRCST certification and BLS. Certification in Nurse Aide is preferred. Per diem schedule and union 1199 SEIU coverage apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• CBSPD or CRCST certification required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination, preparation, sterilization and distribution of sterile instrumentation to the OR and other areas throughout the hospital.
• Maintain and control both sterile and non-sterile supplies, and identify/remedy equipment and process failures and hazards while maintaining records.
• Work independently, making independent decisions regarding work schedules and meeting deadlines for review and posting.
