Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Tech to join the Sterile Processing team at the Potsdam, NY facility. This per diem, day-shift role focuses on preparing and maintaining life-preserving instruments and equipment, ensuring safety for patients and staff.

You will follow guidance from the Central Supply Supervisor and participate in ongoing education to stay current with sterilization standards and practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CBSPD or CRCST certification on hire or within two years.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology; able to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Operates steam and ETO gas sterilizers
• Maintain extra supplies
• Updates file cards and maintains daily records
• Participates in continuing education programs in the hospital and in outside seminars and workshops.
