Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician at Rochester General Hospital to join the Sterile Processing department. This part-time role is evenings, 3pm-11:30pm, with weekend shifts as needed.

The ideal candidate will process decontamination, cleaning, packing, sterilizing and distribution of sterile goods to various hospital areas. Candidates must hold CRCST or CSPDT credentials or meet grandfathering/hard-to-fill criteria and demonstrate strong attention to detail and

• Qualifies through one of the specified credentials.
• CRCST or CSPDT credentials required or equivalent.
• Hard to Fill Clause allows hire if qualified candidates are lacking.
• Grand-fathering Clause requires prior central service work exposure.
• Strong attention to detail with demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Processing and supplying sterile goods to hospital areas (decontamination, cleaning, packing, sterilizing, storing, distribution).
• Sterilization: ensure proper supplies and clean soiled equipment, machines, carts and shelves.
• Distribution: transport supplies, medication and equipment throughout the hospital.
