Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Tech to support the Materials Management department at Unity Hospital. This full-time role offers 40 hours per week with evenings/overnight shifts and occasional weekends/holidays, enabling you to ensure safe and ready sterile equipment for procedures.

Responsibilities include decontamination, sterilization, packing and distribution of sterile goods, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness in a high‑volume hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Credentialed: must pass a nationally accredited central service exam and hold one of the credentials listed, e.g., CRCST or CSPDT.
• Grand-fathering clause: evidence of prior central service work in a healthcare facility for a defined period.
• Strong attention to detail with good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Processing and supplying sterile goods to hospital areas, including decontamination, cleaning, packing, sterilizing, storing and distribution.
• Sanitization: ensure proper supplies and processes; clean equipment, machines, carts and shelves as required.
• Distribution: transport supplies, medications and equipment throughout the hospital.
