Job summary

Main Line Health in Ardmore, PA seeks a Per Diem, Staff Pharmacist AMB to deliver high-quality pharmaceutical care and manage dispensing aligned with current standards. You will review prescriptions, assess safety and effectiveness, and collaborate with clinicians to optimize patient outcomes.

The role requires a Doctorate in Pharmacy, PA licensure, and immunization certification within 90 days. A 1-year background in retail or hospital pharmacy is preferred, with BLS commonly preferred upon

Qualifications

• One year of work in retail or hospital pharmacy including IV admixtures and clinical counseling.
• Immunization certification required within 90 days of hire.
• RP - Registered Pharmacist license for Pennsylvania upon hire.
• BLS certification preferred; CPR policy applies.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality pharmaceutical care and dispense medications per latest standards.
• Review prescriptions for appropriateness, interactions, allergies and safety.
• Communicate with healthcare professionals and patients to ensure safe therapy.
• Provide direction to technical staff and participate in performance improvements.

Communicates with all healthcare professionals and patients concerning medical care to ensure safety and effectiveness. Experience:

One year of work in retail or hospital pharmacy where IV admixtures, automated distribution functions, and clinical counseling were employed is preferred.

Education:

Doctorate in Pharmacy

Licensures/Certifications:

BLS Certification by American Heart Association preferred upon hire, required in timeframe specified in CPR (BLS)/ALS/PALS Policy

RP - Registered Pharmacist - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

Immunization certification (Authorization to Administer Injectables) is required within 90 days of hire.
