Job summary

Main Line Health in Bryn Mawr is seeking a Per Diem Staff Pharmacist to join our hospital team. You will interpret and evaluate medication orders, consult with clinicians to optimize therapy, and supervise technicians to ensure accurate dispensing and timely drug administration.

You will provide drug information, participate in education and quality initiatives, and support a collaborative healthcare environment at Bryn Mawr Hospital.

Qualifications

• PA Pharmacist license required.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience interpreting and evaluating medication orders.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and evaluate medication orders for patients.

You will interpret and evaluate medication orders for patients of MLHS and consult with necessary healthcare professionals as necessary to optimize drug therapy. Use your leadership skills to supervise activities of Technicians to assure accurate compounding and dispensing of medications and timely drug administration. Support the healthcare team by providing drug information and guidance related to appropriate and cost effective drug therapy.

Experience:

• One year of work in hospital Pharmacy where IV admixtures, automated distribution functions, and clinical counseling were employed is preferred.
• Work history with good to excellent record in organization, accuracy, quality and quantity of work and attendance is required.

Education:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy required.
• Clinical clerkships, residencies and specialties in hospital-oriented environments preferred.

Licensures/Certifications:

A current Pennsylvania Pharmacist license required.
