The ideal candidate holds a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology with internship, CCC-SLP certification, CPR certification, and at least 1 year of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology with internship
• CCC-SLP certification by ASHA
• Licensed to practice Speech-Language Pathology
• CPR certification
• Valid driver's license with insured automobile
• At least 1 year of clinical experience in Speech-Language Pathology
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Understanding of home health philosophy and patient care focus

Responsabilités

• Conduct evaluative procedures and assess home environment as appropriate
• Identify functional speech defects and set goals and care plans
• Administer speech therapy programs using techniques and equipment
• Recommend communication devices and aids as indicated
• Coordinate with referring physician and care team for comprehensive care
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and trainings as required
• Prepare and submit clinical and progress records per policy
• Maintain clinical competency in speech-language pathology
• Instruct patient and family in treatment regime
• Perform other duties to deliver speech-language services
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• May supervise hospice aides in related procedures
