Job summary

Oneida Health is seeking a per diem Speech-Language Pathologist to provide assessment and treatment across Long Term Care, Acute Care, and Outpatient settings. The role involves developing individualized plans, improving speech, swallowing, and communication skills, and participating in a multidisciplinary team.

Required: Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, New York State license, CCC-SLP, and a Limited license for Clinical Fellowship.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required).
• New York State license for Speech-Language Pathology (required).
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) (required).
• Limited license for Clinical Fellowship (required).
• Experience treating speech, language, cognition, and swallowing disorders (required).
• Per diem role; available 1 day per week (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' speech or language abilities using standardized tests.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans within a multidisciplinary team.
• Help patients with articulation, voice quality, and alternative communication methods (AAC or sign language).
• Support reading and writing skills; work on swallowing exercises.
• Counsel patients and families; maintain accurate medical records.
• Perform final evaluations and communicate progress to the care team.
