Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• California Speech-Language Pathologist license required at hire; National Provider Identifier (NPI) required at hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire; knowledge of federal, state and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Administers diagnostic tests and provides individualized treatment to adults and children for communication disorders, voice and swallowing impairments.
• Advises physicians of test results and recommends and implements appropriate treatments.
• Monitors progress and collaborates with physicians when altering treatment plans.
• Trains CFY candidates and supervises Speech Pathology Assistants.
• Ensures compliance with TJC, federal, state and local requirements.
• Documents patient progress and maintains accurate records.
