Job summary

Park Highlands Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate swallowing and cognitive function, develop individualized treatment plans, provide skilled therapy, and document progress to support resident independence.

The role requires Texas licensure, ASHA certification, and the ability to work with diverse residents, families and staff; flexible schedules, competitive compensation, and in-house rehab support.

Qualifications

Active/Valid Texas license in Speech-Language Pathology
Current ASHA Certification
In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards

Responsibilities

Evaluate residents' swallowing or cognitive deficits.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve independence.
Provide skilled, medically necessary speech and language therapy assessments.
Implement AAC systems for expressive and/or language disorders.
Educate residents, families, caregivers and other professionals.
Coordinate with physicians for diagnostic swallowing procedures as ordered.
Maintain accurate billing records and clinical documentation.
