Job description

Rome Health is rapidly expanding and we have a need to fill a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist for our inpatient acute care, sub-acute rehab/long term care and outpatient therapy....optional weekend on call coverage for per diem.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients' levels of speech or language difficulty through communication and standardized tests.
• Develop and carry out individualized treatment plans as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Assist patients in articulating sounds and improving voice quality.
• Work with patients to improve reading and writing skills.
• Develop and implement exercises to strengthen the muscles used in swallowing.
• Counsel patients and families on coping mechanisms for communication disorders.
• Maintain accurate records of patient evaluations, diagnoses, treatment progress, and changes in treatment plans.
• Complete final evaluations when patients finish therapy.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
  
  

Education

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. (Required)

Experience

Completion of a degree program associated with Speech-Language Pathology. (Required)

2-3 Years Of Experience Preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:

New York State license for Speech-Language Pathology.
