Job summary

Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ is seeking a skilled and fully licensed per diem Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) to join our team to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in an acute care hospital setting.

The SLP collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, conducts evaluations, and develops treatment plans across the lifespan, including

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.
• Provide direct therapy services to patients across the lifespan, including infants, children, adults, and geriatric populations.
• Educate patients, families, and healthcare staff on communication strategies and swallowing precautions.
• Document evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in the EMR.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, ASHA standards, and state licensure requirements.
• Modified Barium Swallow Assessments.
• Other activities/responsibilities as determined by department manager
