Job summary

Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center in New Jersey is seeking a skilled and fully licensed per diem Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) to join our team and provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in an acute care hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) in good standing.
• Per diem position with acute care responsibilities.
• Commitment to ASHA standards and state licensure requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement diagnostic and therapeutic plans for speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Provide direct therapy to patients across the lifespan in an acute care hospital setting.
• Educate patients, families, and healthcare staff on communication strategies and swallowing precautions.
• Document evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in the EMR.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and licensure requirements.
