Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, or swallowing issues.
• Under a physician's direction, provide direct patient/resident treatment based on an established plan of care.
• Screen and evaluate residents and develop appropriate care plans.
• Plan, direct, or conduct rehabilitative treatment programs to improve communication and swallowing abilities.
• Administer, score, and interpret specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Instruct residents, families, and caregivers on practicing new skills at home.
• Complete required forms and documents according to policy and regulations.
• Maintain patient records accurately and timely.
• Develop tools and treatments tailored to individual patient needs.
