Job summary

The Shores, a UMC Community, is hiring a Homemaker - Per Diem in Ocean City, NJ. You will assist with dining service and keep resident homes clean, supporting residents with meals and daily needs.

Shift choices include 6am–2pm, 11am–7pm, or 4pm–7pm. No prior experience is required; training begins after you start, and applicants must pass background checks and drug screening. E-Verify participation is noted by the employer.

Qualifications

• Willingness to complete ServSafe and New Jersey's Paid Dining Assistant training after hire.
• Able to read menus, recipes, and diet orders in English.
• Pass a drug screen and background check.
• Get a flu vaccine or request an exemption for medical or religious reasons.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals and snacks, following menus and each resident’s diet.
• Handle special diets and swaps for health needs and tastes.
• Help residents during meals with dining assistance training.
• Ask residents what they’d like to see on the menu.
• Follow food safety, cleaning, and temperature check steps.
• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas, and do resident laundry.
• Keep the kitchen stocked and report any broken equipment.
