Job summary

The Shores, UMC Community in Ocean City, NJ, is seeking a Homemaker on a per diem basis to support residents with meals and housekeeping. You will follow menus, assist during meals, and keep living spaces clean with training provided after hire.

No prior experience required; training starts after you begin, and shifts fit many schedules. Benefits include health, dental, vision, and life insurance options.

Qualifications

• Willingness to complete ServSafe and NJ Paid Dining Assistant training after hire
• Able to read menus, recipes and diet orders in English
• Pass a drug screen and background check
• Vaccination requirement: flu vaccine or approved exemption

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to menus and residents’ diets
• Handle special diets and food swaps for health needs and tastes
• Assist residents during meals with dining support training
• Ask residents for menu preferences
• Follow food safety, cleaning, and temperature check steps
• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas; do resident laundry
• Keep kitchen stocked and report any broken equipment
