Job summary

The Shores, a UMC Community, is seeking a Homemaker - Per Diem in Ocean City, NJ. You will assist with meals, dining support, and housekeeping for residents at a flexible per diem schedule.

No experience is required; training is provided after hire. Shifts available include 6am–2pm, 11am–7pm, and 4pm–7pm, with benefits and growth opportunities provided by United Methodist Communities.

Qualifications

• Willingness to complete ServSafe and New Jersey's state-approved Paid Dining Assistant training after you're hired
• Able to read menus, recipes, and diet orders in English
• Pass a drug screen and background check
• Get a flu vaccine, or request a medical or religious exemption

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals and snacks, following menus, recipes, and each resident’s diet
• Handle special diets and food swaps for residents’ health needs and tastes
• Help residents during meals, using the dining assistance training provided
• Ask residents what they'd like to see on the menu
• Follow food safety, cleaning, and temperature check steps
• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas, and do resident laundry
• Keep the kitchen stocked and organized, and report any broken equipment
