Job summary

Jobvite, Inc. is seeking an Activity Assistant per diem to support our Engagement & Activities team. You will work with the Engagement Director to create entertaining activities that enrich residents' physical, emotional, and social well-being, contributing to a vibrant community.

Responsibilities include planning diverse activities, personal resident connections, and coordinating off-site trips. Applicants must have weekend availability, basic computer skills, and a high school diploma;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some classes in recreation, gerontology, or related areas are a plus.
• Love connecting with seniors and naturally get along with them.
• Be creative and able to plan and lead activities that suit different interests and abilities.
• Organize things well and pay attention to details.
• Communicate effectively and be kind.
• Be flexible to work different shifts, including weekends and evenings.
• Know basic computer skills for documenting and communicating.

Responsibilities

• Plan and run a variety of activities with the Engagement Director, including exercise programs, sessions, art projects, trips, spiritual gatherings, and events with speakers and music.
• Connect with residents personally to tailor activities to their interests and needs.
• Help plan trips outside the community and ensure residents are safe and happy.
• Create a warm, inclusive environment where residents can make friends and explore new interests.
• Keep records of resident participation and feedback to improve programs.
• Share creative ideas to keep programs exciting and aligned with seniors' preferences.
