Job summary

Qualifications

• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to operate office equipment and perform mild physical tasks.
• LANGUAGE ABILITY: Ability to read and prepare correspondence and reports with clarity.
• INTERPERSONAL: Ability to work under stress and communicate with students, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and attends health services across all schools.
• Maintains up-to-date health records.
• Informs faculty about students with health concerns while maintaining confidentiality.
• Excludes or readmits students with contagious diseases as needed.
• Administers first aid and medications per policy.
• Secures medications and assists with sanitary conditions.
• Serves as health consultant for health-related classroom activities.
• Works with families and community health agencies as required.
• Prepares reports for the Supervisor of Nurses and district leadership.
