Job summary

Gulliver Preparatory School is seeking per diem bus drivers to provide safe, reliable transportation for students and staff to school events, field trips, and athletic activities. The driver ensures on-time performance, proper vehicle condition, and a secure passenger environment.

Responsibilities include operating designated routes, supervising student conduct, and performing pre/post-trip inspections while reporting issues to the transportation supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• CDL Class B license with School Bus and Passenger Endorsement required.
• PTRD Hack License with School Bus Endorsement required.

Responsibilities

• Student Transportation: Safely operate the school bus on designated routes, adhering to strict time schedules for morning pickups and afternoon drop-offs.
• Special Events & Activities: Drive students and coaches/faculty to field trips, athletic competitions, and extracurricular events, which may include evenings or weekends.
• Vehicle Safety & Maintenance: Perform mandatory pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any defects to the transportation supervisor.
• Student Management: Maintain discipline and safety while the bus is in motion and enforce safety rules.
• Emergency Preparedness: Follow established protocols in emergencies or severe weather and conduct passenger evacuation drills.
• Cleanliness: Keep the interior of the bus clean and sanitary daily.
