Job summary

Endocrine News is seeking an RN to serve as a Patient Care Navigator for the Stroke Program at Evanston Hospital. This per diem role involves 12‑hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with flexibility on days, in a fast‑paced acute stroke care setting.

The RN will coordinate care with neurologists and the multidisciplinary team, provide education to patients and families, and ensure adherence to standards of care and quality initiatives within the stroke program.

Qualifications

• RN with acute care experience in stroke patients
• Current Illinois RN license
• CPR/BLS certification
• ACLS certification or plan to obtain within 3 months
• NIHSS certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for stroke patients
• Coordinate care with neurologists, physicians and team
• Support acute interventions and timely evidence‑based care
• Educate patients and families on stroke care and prevention
