Job summary

UNC Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Same Day Surgery unit at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield, NC. Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
• One (1) year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Education – participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self.
• Evaluation of Care – participates in evaluation of patient care with interdisciplinary team.
• Implementation – provides care for patients with complex problems and adheres to standards and procedures.
• Leadership – supports unit goals, communication, and collaboration.
• Patient Assessment – prioritizes care based on patient/family needs and discharge planning.
• Planning – collaborates with patient/family on care plans and uses multidisciplinary resources.
• Research – reads journals and discusses applicable studies with staff.
