Job summary

UNC Health Johnston is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse to join the Same Day Surgery team in Smithfield, NC. The role provides preoperative and postoperative nursing care across Orthopedics, General, GYN, Robotics, Neuro, ENT, Vascular and Ophthalmology service lines.

You will coordinate patient care using the nursing process, educate patients and families, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient perioperative care. NC RN license and BLS required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide education to patients and families as part of perioperative care.
• Assess and plan patient care using the nursing process.
