Job summary

Planned Parenthood North Central States in Omaha, NE is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) to support the health center’s reproductive and sexual health services. The role is hourly/non-exempt, on-site, with a 32-hour-per-month schedule and pay range of $29.80 to $38 per hour.

Clinic hours include Mon, Wed, Fri, and Sat availability. Under supervision, you will perform routine RN duties, patient histories, labs, contraceptive services, education, and coordination with clinicians, while

Qualifications

• Active RN license in state you are applying for the role.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certificate for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Interview and screen patients, conduct patient history review, document in EMR, prepare patients for examinations/procedures.
• Assess, address or triage patient complaints. Monitor patient vital signs.
• Perform routine laboratory tests including venipuncture; communicate lab results and ensure follow-up.
• Provide unbiased education on birth control methods and abortion options per protocol.
• Refer patients per protocol and ensure complete documentation of care plans.
• Collaborate with clinicians and staff; support operations and inventory management.
