Job summary

Health First in Melbourne, FL is seeking a registered nurse to lead patient care with a focus on Quality/No Harm, customer service, and stewardship. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care according to professional standards.

You will provide direct patient care, document changes, cooperate with the multidisciplinary team, and educate patients and families as part of the plan of care. This position requires FL RN licensure and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing.
• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required.
• BSN highly preferred.
• Licensure: Current Florida RN licensure or endorsement.
• Certification: Must hold current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date.
• Certification(s) as required by unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per standards of professional nursing practice.
• Delegate and supervise patient care activities safely.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to promote teamwork.
• Document nursing care, changes in condition, response to therapy, and referrals.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary plan of care based on evidence-based practice.
• Educate patient and family as directed by the plan of care.
