Veterans in Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PACU, Pre-Post Op, on per diem rotating shifts in Los Angeles. The role focuses on coordinating care, educating patients, and collaborating with surgeons and staff to ensure quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• BSN required or grandfathered for those hired prior to 12/2019.
• At least 1 year PACU experience or 1 year in a high-acuity ICU prior to application.
• Excellent communication skills in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Knowledge of procedures including whole blood collections and apheresis per policies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care in the PACU within an interdisciplinary team.
• Provide education and support to patients and families during recovery.
• Collaborate with surgeons, co-workers, and ancillary staff for direct care.
• Utilize Cerner Millennium to place physician orders and document care.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality-control activities.
