First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital opportunities around Hampton Roads, VA. You decide when you work and choose shifts to fit your schedule and lifestyle.

Enjoy the flexibility of per diem nursing while working in leading acute care hospital settings with day and night shifts available. Per diem offers daily or weekly pay options and a supportive local staffing team.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License.
• Minimum 2 years of PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association).
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and other equipment for PCU patients.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety guidelines.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Adapt professionally to different hospital environments and unit needs.

Per Diem | Hampton Roads, VA | Days & Nights Available

Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
