Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA seeks experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital opportunities in the Hampton Roads area. Build a flexible schedule by choosing day or night shifts and maximize earnings with per diem pay.

Per diem RN candidates must have Virginia RN licensure, BLS and ACLS, and show recent PCU experience. Vaccination or approved exemption is required, with daily or weekly pay options available through local staffing support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and equipment for PCU patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Adhere to infection-control standards and patient safety guidelines.
• Educate patients and families.
• Adapt to different hospital environments and unit needs.

PCU RN Requirements

• Active Virginia RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• Current BLS - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current ACLS - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Additional credentials may be required based on the hospital assignment.
