Job summary

Abbott Laboratories seeks an RN trainer to provide per-diem, in-home training for Acelis Connected Health’s PT/INR customers. Trainers arrange visits, demonstrate device use, and ensure accurate reporting of training records.

The role requires nursing credentials, clinical experience, and willingness to travel up to 100 miles roundtrip within the Illinois area. A driver’s license and reliable transportation are essential.

Qualifications

• The Trainer must have clinical experience as a healthcare professional.
• Direct exposure to anticoagulation management or homecare is preferred.
• Health education training experience is a definite plus.
• No lifting over 15 pounds required without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Remotely set up training appointments with customers or caregivers.
• Travel to customers' homes within the trainer's general geographic region.
• Demonstrate and instruct on proper use and care of PT/INR equipment.
• Explain test reporting options to customers/caregivers.
• Document and submit patient training records electronically.
