Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital in Port Saint Lucie, FL is seeking an RN for the PACU to provide direct care to patients undergoing or recovering from anesthesia.

This per diem, day-shift role emphasizes accurate monitoring, medication administration, documentation, education for patients and families, and coordination of discharge planning.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe transitions from the operating room to the next level of care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program).
• One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in PACU.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients' conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
