Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV, is seeking a per diem Medical-Surgical RN to provide safe, compassionate care on our Medical Surgical Unit. The role emphasizes Patient Centered Care and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Candidates should be a graduate of an accredited RN program, hold an active Nevada nursing license, and maintain a current BLS certificate. Prior acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN approved RN program.
• Current Nevada nursing license.
• Current BLS certificate.
• Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Involves the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population specific, and diversity needs in care assessment.
• Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill. Integrates direct and indirect patient care activities related to the diagnosis and co-morbidities.
• Coordinates the implementation of the interdisciplinary plan of care for assigned patients. Develops goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans that meet individual patient/family needs.
