Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV is seeking a Registered Nurse for Per Diem on the Medical Surgical Unit with a convenient day shift. You will provide safe, compassionate care to patients in a medical/surgical environment, guided by Patient Centered Care principles and Service Excellence standards.

Responsibilities include engaging patients and families, planning and delivering care, and coordinating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN approved RN program.
• Current Nevada nursing license.
• Current BLS certificate.
• Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Involves the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population specific, and diversity needs in care assessment.
• Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill; coordinates direct and indirect patient care activities.
• Coordinates the interdisciplinary plan of care; develops goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans that meet patient/family needs.
