Job summary

MaineGeneral Medical Center is actively hiring an RN or LPN to join Gray Birch, our skilled rehabilitation and long-term care facility in Maine. This per diem position supports a collaborative team delivering resident-centered care.

You will assess residents, develop and adjust care plans, educate families, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams. All experience levels are welcome; a Maine license is required or obtainable quickly.

Qualifications

• Active Maine RN or LPN license.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Team-oriented with a compassionate approach to care.
• Open to all experience levels; new graduates are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate patient care and support residents.
• Provide education, emotional support, and guidance to patients and families.
• Develop and evaluate care plans based on assessments and resource use.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support.
• Delegate care to ancillary staff and potentially precept students/new hires.
