Job summary

Nursa is seeking registered nurses (RNs) to join its per diem nursing network in Wichita, Kansas. RNs will provide and coordinate care across a variety of healthcare settings on a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, vital signs, medication administration, and collaboration with the care team to implement care plans. Strong communication and adaptability are essential for success in diverse facilities.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license.
• BLS/CPR certification (or equivalent).
• 2–3 years nursing experience preferred for high-acuity settings.
• Knowledge of nursing procedures and protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to provide compassionate, reliable care.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts with prolonged standing.

Responsibilities

• Collect information and assess patient condition by taking vital signs and medical history.
• Monitor, document, and report patient responses using EMR/EHR systems.
• Collaborate with physicians and other professionals to develop care plans.
• Supervise licensed practical/vocational nurses and aides as needed.
• Administer medications, IVs, and other treatments per orders.
• Perform clinical procedures including wound care and specimen collection.
• Prepare shift handoff reports to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and self-care.
