Job summary

Nursa is seeking registered nurses to join its growing per diem network in Wichita, Kansas. You will provide care across diverse facilities, document patient status in EMR/EHR, and collaborate with health professionals to coordinate plans. Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• 2–3 years nursing experience preferred; high-acuity settings such as ICU, ER, or Med-Surg.
• Knowledge of nursing procedures and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Collect information and assess a patient’s condition by taking vital signs and medical history, performing physical examinations and observations, and analyzing lab and diagnostic tests.
• Monitor, record, and report patient responses and changes using EMR/EHR systems.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and coordinate patient care plans.
• Supervise licensed practical/vocational nurses, nurse assistants, and other staff as needed.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and other treatments as prescribed.
• Perform clinical procedures including wound care, specimen collection, and emergency protocols.
• Prepare shift handoff reports using SBAR or facility tools for continuity of care.
• Advocate for patient and communicate between patient and healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families about health information and self-care; provide emotional support.
• Safeguard PHI per HIPAA and maintain infection control with proper PPE.
• Document safety events and ensure compliance with regulations.
