Rochester General Hospital Neurosciences Center is seeking an RN First Assistant (Per Diem) to support the surgical team in outpatient neuro procedures. The role involves intraoperative exposure, hemostasis, suturing, and assisting with tissue mobilization under the surgeon's direction.

Ideal candidates hold an accredited nursing degree, completion of an RNFA program, NY RN license, CNOR certification, and at least one year of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Completion of an RNFA program.
• One year prior experience.
• For RNFA certification obtained on/after 2020, a Bachelor's degree is required.

Responsabilités

• Takes OR call for first assisting.
• Assists the surgeon by providing intraoperative retraction and exposure.
• Manages instruments and maintains a clear operative field.
• Provides hemostasis and wound closure as directed.
• Uses surgical instruments to dissect and manipulate tissue as directed.
