Job summary

Qualifications

Active New York RN license
Completion of an accredited RN First Assistant (RNFA) program
Minimum 2 years of OR experience
Proficient in perioperative nursing practice
Scrubbing and circulating experience preferred
BLS – American Heart Association only
DaVinci robotic surgery experience required
Experience with robotic Urology, GYN, Colorectal, Surgical Oncology, Thoracic, and General Surgery

Responsibilities

Assist the surgeon and healthcare team during operative procedures.
Practice as an RN First Assistant under the direction of the surgeon.
Provide safe, effective perioperative care and support optimal patient outcomes.
Perform RNFA duties during the operative phase of care.
Perform circulating and scrub RN duties when not assigned as RNFA.
Collaborate with surgeons and the multidisciplinary surgical team.
Apply appropriate knowledge, skills, and judgment in the OR and RNFA role.
