Job summary

Apex Home Health, Hospice & Home Care is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for per diem Level 2 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. The role involves assisting physicians with respiratory procedures and delivering therapy across neonatal to geriatric patients.

You will assess, document, and communicate treatment plans, monitor responses, and educate patients and staff on respiratory care. Per diem hours, shift pay, and growth opportunities are provided by the employer.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• RRT or registry eligible.
• Illinois license within 6 months.
• CPR certification; ACLS/NRP/PALS within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with respiratory procedures
• Provide therapy to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Assess patients to determine appropriate treatment methods
• Document treatments, equipment maintenance, and quality activities
• Communicate treatment plans clearly to patients and families
• Monitor patient responses, especially in pediatric and neonatal cases
• Educate patients and staff on respiratory care

Education

Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or registry eligible

Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner license within 6 months

Current CPR certification; ACLS, NRP, and PALS within 24 months
