Job summary

Banner Rehabiliation Hospital in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for per diem/PRN shifts. You will operate ventilatory equipment and deliver prescribed therapies to patients with brain or spinal injuries and other conditions.

Required: current state licensure, BLS, and ACLS within 6 months. NBRC credential preferred; RRT preferred. You will educate patients, document treatments, and collaborate with physicians to optimize therapy and outcomes.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Current state licensure required.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• NBRC credential (Active) preferred; RRT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients and recommends a treatment plan.
• Explains purpose and procedure of treatments and provides education at discharge.
• Operates ventilatory equipment for prescribed therapies, oxygen and nebulizers.
• Performs chest physiotherapy and suctioning to promote secretion clearance.
• Performs arterial puncture and monitors ventilation efficiency.
• Records treatments and patient responses in respiratory care records.
