Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for Per Diem/PRN to support Banner University Medical Center’s 11th floor. Qualified candidates hold an active NBRC credential, AZ state licensure, BLS, and ACLS on hire, with day or night shifts and $41.00/hour plus shift differential.

The role involves evaluating patients, delivering respiratory care, managing endotracheal tubes, supporting quality initiatives, and counseling families.

Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT credential from NBRC or state equivalent.
• AZ state licensure is required to practice.
• BLS certification required by start date.
• ACLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients and families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Location: located in tower two on the 11th floor of Banner University Medical Center

1111 East McDowell Road

Phoenix, Arizona

Schedule: day or night shift available 6:00-6:30
Compensation: $41.00 per hour plus shift diff

Current state licensure in Arizona as and RT is required.

Minimum Requirements

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
