Job summary

HCRS is seeking a Residential Specialist at Hilltop Recovery Residence in Westminster, VT. This per diem, part-time position involves supporting individuals living with mental health and/or substance use challenges to develop independent living and emotional regulation skills, helping them reach treatment goals.

The role emphasizes building connections, allowing staff to share personal interests (gardening, guitar) during shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or higher) preferred.
• Experience with individuals with mental health or substance use challenges preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to work evenings, overnights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with mental health and/or substance use challenges to develop independent living skills and emotional regulation.
• Help clients achieve identified treatment goals.
• Build strong connections and meaningful relationships with participants.
• Encourage residents to bring personal interests to their shifts (e.g., gardening, playing guitar).
