Job summary

HCRS in Proctorsville, VT is seeking a Residential Specialist to support individuals with mental health and/or substance use challenges in developing independence and emotional regulation skills. You’ll build meaningful relationships and can bring personal interests to work, such as gardening or playing guitar.

Located in Vermont, this part-time role requires flexibility to work evenings, overnights, and weekends. The organization values compassionate care and community impact.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or preferably, an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or another human services field
• Experience working with individuals with mental health and/or substance use challenges
• A valid driver’s license, car insurance and reliable transportation
• Ability to work evenings, overnights and weekends

Responsibilities

• Support individuals living with mental health and/or substance use challenges to develop independent living skills and emotional regulation skills
• Build strong connections and meaningful relationships with residents
• Bring personal interests and talents to the shift (e.g., gardening, playing guitar)
• Help individuals achieve identified treatment goals
• Support team in Vermont community setting
