RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an RN for the Observation Unit at Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville, NJ. The role requires strong clinical judgment and teamwork to provide evidence-based care in a busy ED setting.

You will conduct assessments, administer treatments, document in EPIC, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe patient transitions.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Two years of nursing and/or ER nursing experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• CEN certification is desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records such as EPIC.

In 2017, the Medical Center completed a state-of-the-art campus expansion featuring a new four-story 87,000 square foot building with a private, 32 bed Intensive Care Unit, new Main Entrance and Lobby, Retail Pharmacy, Patient Registration Area and newly expanded Emergency Department.

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, using your judgment to intervene early and advocate for your patients

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS certification. Two years of nursing and/or ER nursingexperience preferred. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, as is the following certification - CEN, and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. In this position, you will work 11a-11:30p, 3 shifts per month, with at least 1-2 weekend shifts, and 1 winter holiday and 1 summer holiday
