RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Emergency Screening at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center on a per-diem night schedule. The role emphasizes patient assessments, safe medication administration, and collaboration with physicians in a fast-paced ED screening setting.

The position requires NJ RN license (or multi-state with NJ endorsement), BLS, and preferably a BSN with ED/behavioral health experience.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license or Multistate RN License with NJ endorsement.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in behavioral health and preferably ED.
• Familiarity with EMR systems (EPIC).

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, using your judgment to intervene early and advocate for your patients

To be considered for this RN opportunity you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement and a current American Heart Association BLS certification. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, as is prior patient care experience and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. A minimum of (2) years' experience in behavioral health exp and preferably ED experience. This position offers a per-diem night flex shift schedule and (3) three shifts per month (1) weekend shift, (2) shifts Mon-Fri, (1) Winter Holiday and (1) Summer holiday are required. The schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs, allowing you to build strong patient relationships while maintaining balance.
