Job summary

UF Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Gainesville is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a Per Diem role. The RD will deliver nutrition services including screening, assessments, counseling, and education, and will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement care plans.

The position offers an orientation program, potential for advancement, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Part-time/per diem opportunities may lead to full-time roles with 401(k) eligibility after meeting hours requirements.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure/certification, if required by state.
• Current registration by the Commission on Dietetics Registration.
• One (1) year of work experience in a facility setting with clinical responsibilities or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutrition services including screening, initial assessment, re-assessments, counseling and education, and calorie counts.
• Develop an appropriate nutritional care plan.
• Considers religious, cultural, and ethical factors in nutrition assessments.
• Communicates and implements the nutrition plan with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Attend interdisciplinary care meetings and rounds when assigned.
• Develops and implements educational programs for patients and staff.
• Keeps current with nutritional practices and continuing education.
