Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Registered Dietitian for PRN per diem hours. You will provide medical nutrition therapy, assess patients, and collaborate with the medical team to tailor nutrition plans.

Ideal candidates hold an active RD license and CDR registration, with at least one year of clinical experience. Per diem schedule offers hourly pay and potential for advancement.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure/certification as required by state.
• Current registration by the Commission on Dietetics Registration (CDR).
• One year of work experience in a facility setting with clinical responsibilities or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nutritional care to patients, including development, implementation and monitoring of Medical Nutrition Therapies.
• Work collaboratively with the medical staff, patients, families and food service to ensure nutrition care plans are implemented and maintained.
• Perform nutritional assessments and re-assessments, identify goals, recommend nutrition interventions, monitor and evaluate progress.
• Develop and monitor enteral and/or parenteral nutrition support regimens.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and communicate progress and special needs.
• Review and align with the facility's nutrition care manual and formulary, and educate staff accordingly.
• Consider religious, cultural and ethnic factors in nutrition care plans.
• Maintain professional registration and ongoing continuing education.
