Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a per diem Radiology Technologist for a per diem assignment in Houston, Texas. The role involves performing radiography exams, preparing patients, and assisting with quality assurance while adhering to radiation safety standards.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, with current MRT license, ARRT-R registration, and BLS certification. You may be required to cover shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, required.
• Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required.
• Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R), required.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiography (x-ray) exams on patients ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures: prepares patients, records vitals, explains procedure, positions patients, selects imaging techniques and ensures image quality.
• Enters and monitors patient data.
• Performs quality assurance on radiology equipment; may assist with accreditation processes.
• Identifies and reports accidents, complaints or equipment malfunctions to management.
• Takes emergency call within the department; may work weekends and float to other locations.
